ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
Enrollment for the 2024- 2025 school year will open Friday, March 29, 2024. All families, new or returning to John Francis EC, must complete the enrollment process each year. Enrolling your child before the end of the school year allows our administration to plan for the upcoming school year.

Be sure to upload your student's Universal Health and Dental forms at the time of enrollment to ensure your student's immunization compliance for the start of school.

When will DCPS launch the online enrollment platform?
DCPS will launch the online enrollment platform in spring 2024, for the start of the SY24-25 enrollment season. The platform will be available to all families including re-enrolling families and families new to DCPS.
What is online enrollment?
Online enrollment is a platform that collects required enrollment information from families and compiles responses in a centralized database. The platform will safely, securely, and directly transfer data.
What languages will online enrollment be available in? Online enrollment will be fully translated and available for families to complete in Amharic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Will online enrollment be available on mobile devices? Yes.
What are some benefits of transitioning to an online enrollment platform?
Online enrollment will:

Dramatically reduce the amount of time families spend completing enrollment.

Provide families with the opportunity to easily submit documentation online.

WHO CAN ENROLL

All students who attended Ross Elementary or Thomson Elementary can enroll at John Francis EC.

All students who live within our assigned boundaries have the right to enroll at John Francis EC. To find your DCPS in-boundary assigned school click HERE.

Students who reside in D.C. but do not attend our feeder school or live outside the feeder boundaries can apply to John Francis EC through the My School D.C. lottery. To learn more and apply through the lottery click HERE.
WITHDRAWAL
Email the front office at Monikah.Osuchukwu@k12.dc.gov if you do not plan to enroll at School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens next year so you can obtain a withdrawal form.
